Tillie Lays an Egg - Book Reading

Terry Golson, a local author from Carlilsle, MA, will take us on an "eggs-traordinary" adventure! She will read us her wonderful book, Tillie Lays an Egg, about a precocious and
very curious hen, Tillie. The friendly hen will also make a personal appearance and will accept gentle strokes while Terry Golson answers questions.
Books will be available for purchase! This event is suitable for ages 3 to adult.

Beverly Lessard will be at the Sargent Memorial Library on Saturday February 25th from 1:00-3:00 to sign and sell copies of her second book, "Still Relentlessly Upbeat". Teddy Roosevelt: Mind body and Spirit

The Sargent Memorial Library in Boxborough will present Teddy Roosevelt: Mind Body and Spirit, on Tuesday, February 28 at 7:00 pm. Actor and author Ted Zalewski brings to life one of America’s greatest presidents. Combining history, drama, and fun, TR gives voice to many of Roosevelt’s own words, writings, and beliefs. Cowboy, soldier, naturalist, historian, father, statesman, and winner of the Nobel Prize for Peace, Theodore Roosevelt lived a life that inspires us still. Get ready for a “bully” time with Teddy Roosevelt: Mind, Body and Spirit. A video of Ted Zalewski’s performance has been permanently placed in the National Archives, Washington, D.C. He has appeared at a number of Presidential Libraries, including the Reagan, Ford, and Hoover libraries. He has appeared at the White House, the Smithsonian Institution, and The National Theater.

Chinese Brush Painting Workshop

Chinese Brush Painting Exhibition and Workshop This exhibition at the meeting room of the Sargent Memorial Library will be held from 1/15/2012 through 3/2/2012. It is being put on by the Chinese Brush Painting Group, which will also present a Chinese Brush painting workshop on February 18, /2012 from 1:00pm to 2:30pm at the library including a brief Chinese brush painting overview and demonstration. These events are free and everyone is welcome!
